Check more than the bar length

Two guide bars of the same length can require different chains. Check the pitch, drive link gauge and drive link count on your current bar or in the saw manual. If you are replacing the bar, its mount and oil holes must also fit the saw.

For example, Husqvarna SP11G is available for a 5″ bar with 32 drive links and a 12″ bar with 68 drive links. Always follow the specifications for your particular bar. A 1/4″ chain with 1.3 mm drive links will not fit a 1.1 mm bar groove. A 3/8″ mini chain has a different pitch and will not fit a 1/4″ mini sprocket.

Use a 3.5 mm round file and a filing guide specified for SP11G. Keep the bar and chain lubricated with suitable chain oil.
